Everything is sold out- How can I order?
The best way to be alerted for new work + shop updates is to sign up for my newsletter or follow along on Instagram @bearpawsilver
During a shop update items sell very quickly! Usually in the first 5 minutes!
I suggest making an account and having your info saved beforehand. You can create an account here. While I do sometimes remake pieces most items are one of a kind. From time to time I will have made-to-order pieces available in the shop. If you have your eye on a piece make sure you are on the site a few minutes early and refresh the page at update time. Having an item in your cart does not reserve the item, the item can sell if another person completes checkout first.
Paypal, Afterpay + Applepay are a great way to check out quickly!
Most of my pieces are forged from recycled precious materials. I take great pride in refining metals and this process takes a long time but I feel like it adds to the charm of wearing handmade. Along with this process, I use expensive stones in my work and most of my work takes hours upon hours to forge - which means that some of my pieces can and will be at high price points.
Afterpay + Paypal pay in 4 are great options to checkout with interest-free payments!! If you are unable to apply for either option I can also offer a payment plan through my website 48 hours after a shop update (please send me a message for more details).
Returns and Exchanges
Returns | Please read the listings carefully before purchasing as all orders are final sale. That being said I always do my best to make my customers happy, please contact me with any concerns or questions.
Jewelry is fragile and while I build pieces to last a lifetime accidents can still happen. Repairs can be completed on a case-by-case basis. Contact me if you need a repair.
BPS cannot be held responsible for items broken or ruined due to negligence. This includes bending jewelry, swimming with delicate and natural stones, or using heavy lotions/perfumes on stones. Jewelry is delicate and must be stored while sleeping, and taken off during swimming or exercise.
For more info please see below on Jewelry Care. I also include a care card with every purchase!
Jewelry Care & FAQs
Q: How Do I clean my Jewelry?
A: Each Bearpaw Silver piece comes with a jewelry cleaning cloth in your package. You can use this cloth to brighten/shine your piece.
For matte pieces, you can use a very soft 100% cotton cloth and/or a soft toothbrush with warm water and gentle soap.
Q: How do I take care of my Bearpaw Silver jewelry?
A: Great care has been taken to make sure your jewelry lasts a very, very long time. Jewelry, however, is not indestructible, and extra care should be taken to ensure that your piece remains in great condition for years to come. Stones and metal can become loose, chip, or crack through prolonged heat/cold exposure, contact with harsh chemicals, certain perfumes/lotions, chlorine, and rubbing or knocking against another hard surface including other jewelry, dirt, sand, etc. (e.g. Don’t wear while gardening, foraging, hot spring swimming, hunting, etc.)
Q: Are your stones and metals conflict-free?
A: I order all of my stones and metals from reputable suppliers that ensure conflict-free materials. My metals are traceable as .925 Sterling, .999 Fine Silver, and 14k+ gold and purchased from one of the most reputable suppliers in the US. Most of the stones that I purchase and use in BPS pieces are actually considered “old stock” meaning they were found in the ground many years ago by the store provider I purchase from. All of my stones are natural unless stated otherwise.
Q: I need my jewelry re-sized. Can you help?
A: Most of the pieces I make cannot be re-sized due to the fact that the stones I use can be ruined by heat and flame. If a piece can be resized it will be noted in the listing.
It is always best to make sure you know your size before ordering!
Custom Orders
Q: Do you take custom orders?
A: Yes! I do take custom orders by opening up custom spots. I usually notify subscribers through email when I have custom spots open, so please make sure you sign up for the mailing list here.
Q: Is there a deposit for a custom order?
A: Yes, I charge 50% of the final purchase price. This deposit is applied to the finished piece. I currently have a $400 custom minimum.
Q: How long does it take to complete a custom order?
A: This depends on the complexity of the piece, if I have all materials in stock, and the current list of custom orders I have. I always do a first come first serve basis for completing jewelry. Typically custom jewelry is finished within 2-4 weeks.
Shipping
Q: Who do you ship through?
A: All orders in the US are shipped with USPS Priority
Q: How can I insure my package?
A: Any US order can be insured. Please use this listing to purchase insurance: Purchase Insurance
I strongly suggest insurance, especially on items over $100. BPS is not responsible for lost or damaged items by the postal service.
Q: Do you offer International Shipping?
A: Yes! Due to the high cost of international shipping, however, I cannot offer free shipping, but I do discount international shipping to help with the high expense for my customers.
Q: How long does processing and shipping take?
A: Payment Processing | Processing depends on the payment method. Most payments go through immediately, but some like Paypal or Afterpay take a few days to process. Once payment has been processed your piece usually ships within 3 - 5 business days.
USA Shipping | Priority shipping in the US usually takes 2-5 days during normal times. Due to Covid-19, there have been delays that last weeks or months. While I will do everything to expedite the shipping process, please understand I cannot be held responsible for the slow shipping times we are now seeing during the pandemic.
International Shipping | International shipping can be anywhere from as little as 5 days to (in rare and extreme circumstances) 4 months.
Q: I didn’t receive tracking info, how do I get that?
A: Send me a message here and I will provide your tracking info!
Q: Do you cover tariffs, duty, or customs fees?
A: Sorry, I cannot be responsible for any of these charges or fees you might incur with international shipping. Please know your local rules and restrictions before purchasing.
