The path of Bearpaw Silver…

Hello, wild one! My name is Crystal & I am the maker behind Bearpaw Silver. I started Bearpaw Silver with a love for wild & free things, precious metals & stones, & the possibility of merging those things to bring you jewelry as unique as you!

My journey started when my mother & grandmother took me on two influential, life-changing trips as a kid. The first… Alaska, where I discovered an extremely strong passion & respect for animals & the vast beauty that the natural world has to offer. The second place - New Mexico, where I fell in love with southwestern culture, silver, & turquoise. New Mexico is a true mecca of jewelry making & the jewelry I saw there never left my mind. Bearpaw Silver was named after a silver bracelet my Mom & Grandma purchased for me in New Mexico all those years ago (A silver and turquoise bear’s paw).

It took many years later, many other endeavors, traveling all around the US, & working in different mediums to finally realize that I could merge the two things I truly love together… Creating jewelry that focuses on the wild, untamed nature all around us. I enrolled in metalsmithing classes in 2018 at the Indianapolis Art Center & the rest is history!

Bearpawsilver is me on my path to bring you jewelry from the heart + soul, inspired by the people, creatures, & things I love most.
